We are, of course, like everyone else, open to all offers for further assistance. In general terms, the more one is able to spend on buying a young horse with good breeding and attitude, the more chance one has of producing that horse to compete at the highest level. Alternatively, if one has the good fortune to have the running costs of a horse covered by some generous sponsorship, then that horse does not have to be sold in order to recoup the ongoing expenses. The longer we can keep working on a horse the more chance we have of competing at the very highest level.
We would like to convey our enormous gratitude to all our sponsors, for without their support it would not be possible to compete at such a high level. In order to remain in the sport it would be necessary to sell all the horses at a very early stage in their careers, and thus we would not have the privilege of jumping at such places as HOYS, Hickstead and the County Shows – let alone Internationally.
